🥛 What Is Milk Cotton Yarn?
Despite its name, milk cotton yarn doesn’t contain dairy — but it’s inspired by it. The name comes from the inclusion of milk fiber, a unique eco-friendly fiber derived from casein, the protein found in milk.
👉 Here’s how it works:
Casein is extracted from milk and combined with other substances to create a silky, biodegradable fiber known as milk silk or milk fiber. This is then blended with cotton and acrylic to produce milk cotton yarn, known for:
- Silky softness
- Breathability
- Antibacterial properties
- Low skin irritation
In our 4ply version, the blend is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic, giving you the same luxurious feel and skin-friendliness — with durability and ease of care.
